Charter school teachers who are focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and who have demonstrated excellence in their work in the classroom are eligible for The Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship Program. The 11-month program provides fellows an opportunity to serve in the federal public policy arena in Washington, D.C., and provide their perspectives. Each fellow receives a monthly stipend of $6,000, a $1,000 monthly cost of living allowance, a moving/relocation allowance and a professional travel allowance. The number of fellows selected each year varies. The application deadline is Dec. 5, 2012.
