Description

Successes and challenges for charter schools that "restarted" low-performing traditional schools were covered during an interactive webinar September 15, 2010 that was hosted by the National Charter School Resource Center at Learning Point Associates.

The restart model is one of the four turnaround models mandated by the U.S. Department of Education to improve low-performing schools. The featured presenter for the webinar was Viki Young, Ph.D., education policy analyst at SRI International. She highlighted the findings from a recent study that she led for the Resource Center.
