The National Charter School Resource Center hosted a webinar May 18, 2011 that explored expanded learning time in charter schools. The presenters reviewed the research and described how two innovative charter schools are using expanded learning time to realize their missions.

Featured presenters included: Carol McElvain, J.D., the Director of Afterschool and Expanded Learning at American Institutes for Research; Jessica Nauiokas, the principal and founder of Mott Haven Academy Charter School in New York City; and Mama Chris Wiggins, the founder and CEO of Imhotep Institute Charter High School.
