The U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Innovation and Improvement will host a National School Choice Conference on March 30, 2012, in Washington, D.C.

Options such as charter schools, magnets, and vouchers are often available now and “research increasingly shows that school choice is not only well received by families but producing academic success,” according to the announcement for the Improving Student Opportunities With Systemic Choice conference.

The conference will feature national school choice leaders and include discussions with experts about how to build the funding, enrollment, accountability, transportation, staffing, and parental engagement systems needed to support diverse schools.
