Charter School Among Recipients of Federal Arts in Education Grant
A charter school was among the recipients of the 2013 Arts in Education Model Development and Dissemination grants awarded by the U.S. Department of Education.
The Department announced $2 million in grants that were awarded to eight organizations, including $245,609 for the first year of a three-year award to Neighborhood House Charter School of Boston, Massachusetts.
The grants are designed to enable organizations with arts expertise to "create and develop materials that will be duplicated or adapted for integrating a range of arts disciplines into the elementary and middle school curricula," according to the September 27, 2013 announcement.
