$100 Million Federal Grant Program Focuses on High School Career Readiness Efforts

A new $100 million grant program developed by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Education is designed to help “scale-up evidence-based high school models that will transform the high school experience for America's youth,” according to a November 19, 2013 agency announcement.

Up to 40 grants are expected to be made under the Youth CareerConnect program to “provide high school students with the industry-relevant education and skills they need for a successful future,” the announcement stated.

The application deadline is January 27, 2014.
