Promise Neighborhoods Planning, Implementation Grants

Promise Neighborhoods grants support programs to improve the “educational and developmental outcomes of children and youth in our most distressed communities, and to transform those communities.” A total of nearly $35 million is estimated to be available for planning and implementation grants for the 2012 competition. Charter schools have been part of Promise Neighborhoods grants.
