Elementary school teachers are eligible for this year's Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST) competition, which recognizes teachers who develop and implement a high-quality instructional program. Up to 108 awards are authorized to be made each year. Winners receive $10,000 and a paid trip to Washington, D.C. The nomination deadline is April 1, 2012, and the application deadline is May 1, 2012.
