The Charter School Program's (CSP’s)  Non-SEA dissemination competition is available for public charter schools and can be used to assist other schools in adapting the grantee school's program or certain aspects of the program. The direct award may also be used to disseminate information about the charter school. This is part of two Non-SEA grant competitions available from CSP, which plans on making up to $3,000,000 available for 15 to 19 grants between the two competitions. The estimated average award size is expected to be $175,000 per year for up to three years, although the Department is not bound to any estimates. Applications are due June 6, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. Eastern and must be submitted through Grants.gov.

Preapplication webinars will be available to answer questions about the Non-SEA competitions and will be held at the following times (all times Eastern):

  • April 24, 2012, 3 to 4:30 p.m.
  • April 26, 2012, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • May 3, 2012, 3 to 4:30 p.m.
  • May 9, 2012, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
