Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES) Placement Components
The Office of Citizen Exchanges of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) seeks "cooperative agreements to support exchanges and building of lasting ties between high school students from countries with significant Muslim populations and the people of the United States."
The program involves marketing the 2014-15 academic year exchange program, identifying and securing placements for exchange students in American schools and host families, communicating regularly with the students, families, and school administrators, and coordinating opportunities for participants to learn about American culture, community service, and leadership.
Estimated total program funding is $27,000,000, with 12-15 cooperative agreements expected to be awarded. There is a cost sharing or matching requirement.
