This program focuses on efforts that improve school access to local foods and supports a range of work, including training, technical assistance, and administration. Grants are provided for planning ($20,000 - $45,000), and implementation, and support services ($65,000 - $100,000).

Estimated total program funding is $5,000,000, with 70 grants expected. There is a cost sharing or matching requirement.

Charter schools have received grants under the program.
