This program is to "provide meaningful work experience for local area youth (ages 16-25), so they can gain an understanding and appreciation for natural resource management, as well as work experience, training and skill development while providing BLM with cost-effective work crews to complete on-ground projects for the renewable resources programs (range, recreation and wildlife)."

Total estimated program funding is $500,000, with one award expected.

Charter schools and youth conservation corps programs was the subject of the Resource Center's April 2013 newsletter.
